“Newtown Creek” in watercolour

A free hand drawing from Newtown Creek on the Isle of Wight yesterday afternoon before a storm kicked in.

Drawn first on HB pencil then shadows highlighted in darker pen and then a fineliner ink pen. Then watercolour pencils used to colour the scene using a wet paintbrush and removing the colour directly from the nib. Piece is produced in a Silvine ‘textured cartridge paper’ sketch pad.
